We took Matt’s new mini-camper (teardrop-like) out a few times and decided that we would use it for our 2021 Awareness Drive, rather than taking our 19″ camper. The reasons for this is that when we pull the 19″ trailer we average 4-6mpg. That wouldn’t be too bad when your driving somewhere near your home but when you are putting almost 10k miles, in three weeks, that is just way too much for gas. Then we had to take into account that we drive about 6-10 hours each day and only use the camper to sleep in, so there is no need for all the space/weight.
It’s definitely going to be a change but our biggest concern was how were we going to promote our awareness drive, sponsors and Angelman syndrome, while pulling the little camper, so we reached out to a company in Tulsa that is right next door to the company that made the camper. The company is Full Tilt Wraps and they are based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After sending an email to ask if they could put a wrap on the camper for us, they responded within 24 hours with a “Definitely.” They didn’t have any questions or concerns about what would they get out of it but rather said they just loved being able to help out.
Full Tilt did the design and transformed our little red camper into what we think is an amazing piece of art. 🙂 Yes! we are biased but we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.
